If you’re reading this, you’re probably (and rightly so) a car geek. Classic car restoration is a favorite obsession for many of us. However, with so many legendary American car models, choosing which one to breathe new life into can be quite challenging.

Classic Car Restoration: Some of The Most Popular American Models

Well, we thought we’d share some of the most popular classic cars that can help you relive the golden age of American automobiles.

  • 1967-1969 Chevy Camaro. This one is an absolute masterpiece. It boasts a ton of engine customization options, and it’s also easy to get ahold of its restoration parts. The 1969 model was one of our first adventures in classic car restoration, and we enjoyed every moment.
  • 1968-1972 Chevy Corvette. The Corvette needs no introduction. It’s a classy, beautiful, powerful, and timeless sports car. The 1968-1972 models were among the last to significantly borrow from the Corvette’s original design, and they were extremely popular for that matter. When we restored a Silver 1969 Stringray Corvette, we particularly enjoyed its affordability.
  • 1965-1966 Ford Mustang. One of the most attractive qualities of the Mustang is its long hood, which gives it a certain swagger. The original design featured a powerful V8 engine with an impressive 289 horsepower. It also features manual and automatic options, meaning you get to enjoy an all-classic appeal even when you opt for an automatic transmission.
